Day of Champions

Had a fantastic day yesterday at Day of Champions at Silverstone before the Moto GP race meeting this weekend.

First person I saw when we arrived ... wonderful surprise as I didnt think he was going to be there .... JT looking gorgeous as ever.

He was playing with his band Crash and they were great.

Its such a great fun day, they have a big ride in into the track, then they get to do 2 laps of the track too.
I think someone was wishing he was on his bike now and about to go around the track.

People always enter into the fun of it too.  Theses people where dressed at doctors (Valentino's nickname) and they all had plaster casts on too!

And these guys well - they had everyone in stitches.  I cant remember what the machines are called that are inside the trolley's - they have a wheel at either side and a handle that you push forward to move along.  They had music playing too, I must show my Mum that she is not using her trolley to its best advantage!

Im sure they will have raised alot of money from the Auction that they hold.  Even though Valentino was not there in person they did call him up and plugged the phone into the speakers so we could all hear him, which was great.  They then auctioned one of his crash helmets which he doesnt do, apparently he has a huge warehouse with every set of leathers, boots and crash helmets that he has ever worn!  Anyway they got £5,000 for it which is amazing.

Off to Silverstone again on Sunday to watch the racing, really looking forward to it.  Hope the weather is as good, although I will apply more sunscreen this time as at the moment I look like a lobster - which is not a good look!

I suppose I ought to share a card too!  I havent posted a card in a while, sorry about that, anyway here are a couple using the gorgeous Blossom collection.

I love these papers they are so versatile, I love all the different colour combinations you can make with the six different colours, hot pink, olive, blue, gold, soft pink and chocolate.  The list is endless.  The card above is the soft pink and gold - which I think is absolutely gorgeous together and below is the gold, chocolate and hot pink, again I love this combo too.

There are tone on tone floral patterns and the small floral pattern with a cream background.  This card features just one message and some scraps of paper, a little glitter glue and card candy thrown in and thats it - simples!

Have a wonderful weekend and hope the sun shines for everyone!

Oh yes, good luck to England tonight - take a look on Craftwork Cards website for their World Cup Wonder - simply predict the score of the match and who will score the first goal for England and you could be in with a chance of winning an Angolmania collection of goodies!  Its got to be worth having a guess with a chance of winning crafting goodies!!
