Been away!

I have been away for a few days with Merv, it was our 25th Wedding Anniversary last week so we went to Sardinia for a short break.

It was wonderful, the hotel was fabulous, it was raining as we arrived - really hard and we had left the gorgeous sunshine at home! Anyway a few hours after we arrived the sun came out and stayed out until our last day when again it rained! Thats my sunbed the second from the left!

We spent lots of time by the pool, reading and enjoying the sunshine and the peace and quiet. This was the view from our room. You just walked past the pool, through the garden and onto the beach!

Kath thank you so much!

How kind are some people? Kath received two extra copies of this book and sent it to Sue and I - how kind is that.

Its full of card sketches and then gives examples of the different looks you can achieve using the same sketch. A very clever idea, its sparked off loads of ideas for me so thank you very much Kath.

Watch out Im sure you will see some of the sketches in up and coming projects of mine!

10 years on and I still love this stamp!

I must have had this stamp from Magenta for about 10 years and I still love how it turns out. I have coloured with H2O's, added some ribbon and an In Circle message. There is, of course, also a little glitter glue just for that added sparkle!

I'd forgotten my love of colouring!

Edit 2: My computer wizard friend Sam has sorted my blog icons out, you are a total STAR thank you so much. At last I can published images again!! So here are the missing pictures of the cards that I so enjoyed colouring in. Hope you like them!

Id forgotten just how much I love to stamp and colour in!
I have been so busy the last week or so trying to finish all the projects for my next book, Flower Power Papercrafts. I have photography this Monday and the following Monday too and then that will be all the projects done and photographed. I still have to make some of the projects and do lots of variations for cards but Im almost there. Then its just down to all the text for the book!
Anyway I took my Mum, Jean, out for the morning on Friday - she is also into card making infact she is responsible for me getting into it! I needed some bits for some projects and we visited the Craft Barn and The Glitter Pot both local shops for us. I bought bits at both but a stamp at The Glitte Pot and received some handy hints and tips from Carolyn. Thank you so much I really appreciated the time and will keep you to the play session very soon!
I love the way these cards have turned out, simple but I think they look lovely and I so enjoyed colouring them in - its very relaxing. I have left the messages off until I know who the cards are for then I will add some foiled greetings from Craftwork Cards.
Hope you like them too!

Edit: For some reason I have lost all the icons at the top of my post so I cant insert pictures or change the font size etc. I dont know what I have done. If anyone can help me and tell me how to get the little icons back so that I upload the pictures I would really appreciate it. So watch this space for the pictures of the cards, SORRY

Lovely Weekend

It was lovely to see so many familar faces and friends at Ally Pally this weekend and to be able to share and show you the new products and what I had made with them. They are so easy to work with and create lovely cards. Hope you had a great time and got lots of crafting goodies!
The card features a scallop square wrap with the edges inked. Enchanted papers on the card front with the wrap attached to the back. Add the new patterned stems, mini messages for leaves and Bazzill Flowers with an In Circle for the centre. I didnt have the right colour ribbon for the card so I trimmed some of the dotty paper, tied a knot from another piece, flattened it and stuck it to my paper ribbon. Highlight all the card with glitter glues. The three favourites for the Enchanted Teal collection are: Platinum, Aqua and the new Cinnamon they look gorgeous and add real sparkle to the card.
My weekend was complete with Valentino Rossi coming 3rd and getting on the podium in Moto GP and my favourite, James Toseland, coming 7th - brilliant James keep up the good work!
You see my other passion is motorbike racing - Moto GP especially!
And when I got back on Sunday night Merv, my hubby, had made my Moussaka - simply devine! Thanks Merv.
