Thank You Cards

I have been making some Thank You cards as I need to send some for my lovely Christmas presents that I received.

So, here's some I made earlier!

I have been using up some papers I bought ages ago, my new Martha Stewart butterfly punch and Paula's message stamps.

I love to decorate the inside of cards to match the front using scraps of the papers. I really went to town with these cards because I decorated the envelopes too.

3 little cards I made, all very similar using up scraps of papers and messages, again with the lovely butterfly punch.

Card Candy not just for cards!

Merv made this gorgeous Yule Log for us, I added the holly but unfortunately it didnt have any berries. The bits with berries on were too high up on the tree for me to cut down in the dark on Christmas Eve.

So I thought I know (light bulb switched on!!) .... I could use red Card Candy!! It worked a treat - just remember to remove before eating!

If you are around tomorrow, switch onto QVC at 9am to see the Card Candy and Flower Store - they are wonderful.

Also my little Spanish friend, Paula Pascual, will be on at 7pm demonstrating with Dawn - be sure to tune in. Good Luck Paula - go Paula, go Paula!!

Mum's been busy

My Mum came to stay with us on Christmas Eve for a few days over the Christmas Holiday.

She has been having a play and making some lovely cards - just for something different to do over the Christmas holiday you understand!!!

Anyway thought it would be nice to share with you what she has made.

Paula very kindly bought me the Martha Stewart Butterfly punch for Christmas and Mum has been having a lovely time using up some papers I bought ages ago, mixing in some Card Candy and oval messages.

Love these!

I simply love the new paper pack Grape and Grey, probably because purple is my favourite colour, but the combination with the grey is just stunning.

Add in some of the new Ritzy cardstock in purple and lime green and the results speak for themselves.

I love them!!

If you do too treat yourself to them

A week too soon!

This is what I woke up to this morning! S N O W ! ! !

We dont get it often but when we do it always makes everywhere look so lovely and the man on the tv is right it always makes me smile.

Had to go out, in my pjs I might add, to take this picture. I love the lights on the tree and around the bay window and the snow just finished it off perfectly.

I didnt realise the snow was quite so deep, I only put slip on shoes with no backs and the snow was up round my ankles!

This is the view out the back of my house, very pretty with all the snow on the trees.

Christmas Cards Take 2

These are the cards that I made Friday night and sent on Saturday!! Never been so organised when it comes to Christmas cards.

They are very simple in design but I had to make another 30 Friday evening so they had to be quick and easy!

We have put up our Christmas tree yesterday, I love the big tree all covered in silver and purple decorations. I have garlands too in purple and silver and then in the dinning room its traditional red, green and gold - its a shame not to use them.

Merv has also put a tree up in the front garden with lots of lights on it and icicle lights all around the bay window. I looks so lovely when you come home in the dark.

I think I will wrap some presents this afternoon, Im not sure whats going on - this is something I dont normally do until Christmas Eve!!!

Been busy making some cards tonight but the light is no good to take a picture so I will in the morning and post them over the weekend.

Putting up our tree tomorrow and all the decorations, it really does not feel like 2 weeks till the special day, maybe it will tomorrow!

Yummy Scrummy is back!

Well Yummy Scrummy paper packs are back and they are even better than before!

They have been supersized to 8"x8" which is so good, especially if you like bigger cards.
I love it because I can cover my favourite 6"x6" cards and still have some bits left for the inside of my card or for another card.

There is the best selling Milk Chocolate and Marshmallow - an all time favourite of milk chocolate and soft fluffy pink marshmallows - sounds delicious!

Try some of the new flavours too - Milk, White and Dark Chocolate - so you can have a bit of everything.

Or Dark Chocolate and Mint - I love this combination.

There are even three different foilings to choose from - they now come in white, gold and silver and with 12 sheets in a pack for just £4.50 you need to go treat yourself today!

Made a start!

Well I finally made a start on a few Christmas cards yesterday and this is the result.

I have used 0ne of the trees in the Enchanting Tree stamp set that I designed for Craftwork Cards with some of the My Minds Eye Christmas papers and my favourite In Circle messages.

The tree stamped, coloured with Copics and decorated with crystals was inspired by my little Spanish friend, Paula, who made a stunning Birthday card like this.
