Mum makes page 3!

Amazing I never thought in a million years that my Mum would make page 3, ok so it is only of the local newspaper and thank heavens she didnt have to take her clothes off either!

Another local paper run a feature about Mum and her friend Mabel raising over £20,000 together. Mabel, who I might add is 94, has raised over £13,000 for Cancer Research over the years opening her garden to the public, running quizzes and general fund raising events.

For the last four years Mabel and Mum, who is 77, have lived at Mitchell Court and during that time Mabel has raised £3,000 running quizzes, coffee morings, strawberry teas etc. Mum has been making handmade cards and has raised £3,300 for St Catherines Hospice which is where my Dad went just before he passed away.

It was Mum that got me into making cards, she saw a demonstration at a local craft fair and she was hooked, a couple of weeks later she took me to see that same lady and that was it I was hooked too.

Thank you to everyone that left lovely comments - I have passed them onto Mum and Mabel.

Today's truck card is made using Craftwork Cards new boy templates, covered with Little Boy Blue papers and die cut sheets. I love this set, again it has 5 designs, 2 of each so you can turn them into mini albums. The designs are: a baby elephant, big elephant, truck, owl and t-shirt great for football shirts.
