New Computer

I have had to have a new Mother board for my computer and am learning to use a new programme to (hopefully) upload my pictures.

I think I have shared this card before, sorry if I have, but I hope it works!!

Last of my Birthday cards

The last two cards, one from my good friend Corrine who I have known for goodness knows how long. It must be about 12 years since I met Corrine at The Craft Barn and got to work with this lovely lady.

The second card has been made by another really lovely customer turned friend Dawn Petler. Dawn makes the most amazing cards, sets herself very high standards and always thinks they could be a little better. Well I really love this card, its really clever and quite simply stunning. Again my photography skills are not as good as my card making skills - the pictures just dont do the cards justice.

Hope you have enjoyed seeing my cards and hope that they have inspired you.

Happy Birthday Sue

It's my wonderful friend Sue's birthday today, Happy Birthday Sue! Hope you have a great day.

Thought you might like to see the card that I made for her. I really enjoyed making it - it did take me almost all day to make it but I was so happy with the result and needless to say she loved it too.

This is the front of it all folded up. Its made up of 3 x 8"x8" envelopes that I have covered with patterned papers that have been stitched using a sewing machine.

Inside it looked like this with big tags inside each envelope. The first wishing Sue a happy birthday, the second and third explaining about the Spa day we are going on as her birthday present.

On the back of the Spa tags I put a map and all the notes about preparing for our Spa day.

So many cards!

Thank you to everyone that sent me a birthday card, it was very kind of you all, I had 26 in total and of those 19 were handmade cards. I will share them with you when I get a chance to photograph them and post them.

I also received this beautiful bouquet of flowers and box of chocolates from a lovely lady called Julie.

My friends, Dawn and David, sent me a lovely wire card/photo holder, with hearts to attach your cards/photos to. Its gorgeous and I need to fill it with special things. I will photograph this too very soon.

I was actually away in Devon for my birthday, we had a lovely week and it only rained one day. Merv bought me a lovley new handbag and lots of other bits and pieces.

The beach was literally 3 minutes walk from the bungalow that we rented and there was a pub, restaurant, milkshake bar and cream tea place all in the little village where we were staying.

We took Owen's friend, Tom, with us so that Owen would have a better time. They went in the sea several times and Tom was even swimming at 8pm on the last evening as we bbq'd on the beach.

Promise to post some cards very soon.
