Sew good!

It's someones birthday soon, not saying who but I made this card for her.

I used some chipboard shapes from Craftwork Cards to cut the shapes to create my quilt for the card.  Cut the papers out and layered them onto cardstock.  Then I stitched around everything using my machine.  Let me tell you this is a card for a special person - it did take a bit of time!  I then added some ribbon tied buttons and flowers with metal centres.

Up close for the finer details.

Then this is the inside of the card.

Having said this took a little while to make, I did also make a present for the special person too and in total it was about 2 hours.  I will reveal the present on her actual birthday as I dont want to spoil the surprise!

I love this card and these papers. I still have the picture in my office that we made using these chipboard shapes. Keep up the daily blogging, I fell by the wayside months ago.

How lovely! May I just say, twice a year I go to Ally Pally and one of the first stalls I visit is CC. I LOVE your cards and my 10 yr old GD always looks forward to your demos. Finding your blog has been such a wonderful source of inspiration- Thank you

I have not tried using a sewing machine is it ok with paper. I love the result you have got Julie really special.

Demi, you must try stitching with your sewing machine, it doesnt harm it at all and it is so easy. My machine sees little fabric now, just paper and card!
