Cupcake Delight!
WOW! I have just made cupcakes and they have risen and tasted wonderful! I am no good at baking or at least never have been before today! Thanks so much to Shimelle for the wonderful recipe and help today. I have to add that these are the most expensive Cupcakes in the world - they cost me £28 for the ingredients and the tin! Still I had great fun making them with Matt and Owen so it was worth it and I have spare ingredients to make more.
I must be special!
My doorbell just rang again and I have another beautiful flower arrangement from my very special friend Paula - thank you so much, my favourite colours - its gorgeous. I feel very special indeed. I also got my box from my friends in Leeds full of wonderful handmade cards and a stunning necklace with matching earrings. I am very lucky to have such great friends.
FEELING SPECIAL!!
It's Friday already!
Where did this week go? I have been really busy with magazine projects and the next set of Recipe Cards for Craftwork Cards this week.
A lovely box of goodies arrived at the beginning of the week and inside amongst other things was their new Chocolate Paper Blox full of scrummy brown sparkle papers - quite simply stunning. I have made some gorgeous cards with them and wanted to share this one with you all. Made using my favourite daisy punch - I love the colours together and if you add a hint of pink or orange they look fab!
I also got the new 3 Bugs papers - Coco - Blossom and Seeing Stars (this is a great collection for boy's/men's cards). Cant wait to play with these - have some great ideas.
At Craftwork Cards we have been having a Chocolate moment - great calling cards with chocolate sayings on them, a gorgeous cupcake template, cupcake shaped cards and a brilliant mug shaped card - again great for men. Be sure to go check them out on the website link below.
Anyway its my birthday today - Im forty something cant or rather dont want to remember the second number! I have had some beautiful handmade cards, lovely e-cards and presents and have been told there is a box on its way to me from all the girls and guys at Leeds - hurry up Parcel Force!! Im off to read some new books in my garden in the wonderful sunshine. Speak to you all soon and have a wonderful weekend.

Jim's 50th Birthday!
Front of card
Inside the card
Back of the card
Well I did promise a card today and here it is. I have used Craftwork Cards jumbo tags covered with Basic Grey papers. I have added Jim's name, large numbers, ribbons, scallop punches and stamps by Hero Arts.
My son, Owen, says 'its too girly' and no dont add the glitter glue too! What have you done to his card!!
Well I love it and I have made a back page with Birthday Wishes from us all so that all the family can sign it.
Hope he likes it - do you think its too girly?
Where does the time go!
Sorry not to have posted anything for a couple of days, but where does the time go!! I miss it when other people dont post something so I am sorry.
I have been really busy with magazine projects and ideas for Craftwork Cards next set of Recipe Cards.
I also attended my youngest, Owen's, Award ceremony at school yesterday with Merv. He had been put forward for an award but the school dont tell you what until you get there. Anyway he got an improvement award for Geography and an academic award for Drama - if you know Owen you will understand the Drama Award!! Anyway needless to say both Merv and I are really proud of him.
Anyway down to crafting things! I have to make my brother in law, Jim, a card today - he was 50 a couple of weeks ago and I have been awarded the task of making a card that all the family can sign - why me!! I suppose I know why really. Im going to use the new Jumbo Tags from Craftwork Cards, if you have nt seen them yet go check them out there are brilliant. I would do a link to the website but I need Caz to teach me still!! Im going to use masculine papers and big chipboard numbers for the 50 and I will stitch the papers and tags together and add ribbons and brads and bits - cant wait to make it now. Unfortunately I have to clean the house from top to bottom first! This doesnt happen often, only when someone is visiting and as we have 17 coming tomorrow I think it needs to be done. Please tell me where in a small victorian semi Im going to put 17 people if it rains and we cant get out in the garden!
I will post a picture of the tag card for Jim when Ive made it.
Have a great weekend and enjoy the sun if it does shine.
