Start as I mean to go on

Ok so I will start the New Year off as I mean to go on, now I dont know how long this will last but I will try and post on a regular basis, I wont say everyday but more often than I have been. So at least it should be more than once a month from now on!!
Here are some more cards that I made today. Im going to make a real effort to decorate the insides of all my cards in 2009 and the envelopes too. It just looks so nice when everything co-ordinates together.

I love the cards and have so enjoyed making them - the photos arent great because I left it until late to take them and there was no natural light left. I hope they inspire you to get your crafting bits out and get making. Most of the cards are onto the scallop edged cards (Craftwork Cards - Back 2 Basics) they are such fabulous quality and at just £6.50 for a pack of 50 with top quality envelopes to match - these really should be everyones basic cardstock.

Happy New Year.

Spoiling you - two posts in two days!

Now a certain lady was complaining to me that I dont post often enough (I hope she is reading this) - well I suppose I must be spoiling you now with 2 posts in 2 days and I have more cards that I have made to show you later too!!

I forgot that I hadnt shown anymore of the lovely Christmas cards that I got sent, so here are a few more and I will show some more soonest.

Have a wonderful day today and wishing you and your families a really happy and healthy New Year.

Friends

I have also been making some friendship cards just to have to hand when I need a card. Really simple designs but I love this sort of card. I plan to get organised and make the birthday cards that I need for January and possibly even February - maybe just maybe get ahead of myself. I know this wont last long but its lovely to play and make cards.

Thank You Cards

I had lots of gorgeous presents for Christmas and I have spent the last couple of afternoons making some thank you cards, thought I would share them with you.

Advent Calendar

Ok I know its a little late to share this with you all, but I made this last year it was a project for one of Sue at Craftwork Cards workshops.

I absolutely love it - the little doors swing open and we filled the insides with gold coins. The background has been stamped and then all the door fronts decorated in different ways.

Just thought you might like to see it and it could give you an idea for next year.

Gorgeous Cards

These are some of the gorgeous handmade cards I have received this year, I will post more tomorrow.

This gorgeous handbag card was made by Gill and it is just amazing the work that has gone into it. Its stitched, every page is decorated on both sides and the bag itself is covered and decorated so beautifully. Thank you so much Gill and for the box thats under my tree waiting for the 25th!

This card was made by my cousin, Sally. I suppose card making runs in the family!

Lynda made this one for me, she is brilliant at stamping and colouring and her cards are always so clean, crisp and well put together.

This card and pressie is from Kathy, I love the holly on the card, Kathy used Core-dinations card and sanded it slightly - in the flesh it looks just like fabric. Kathy also made me this brilliant calendar, the other months are on the other side and inside - its so clever and such a useful gift too. It was presented in a stunning box that Kathy had made too, she is really very clever. It will be beside my computer. Thank you so much Kathy.

My photo does not do this card justice, its stunning and from Kath. I love how she has added letters to our card candy - Merry Christmas Julie - and the shape of the card is really lovely too. Thanks Kath too for layering the white and red flowers together, had not thought of that and have since done it on some Christmas cards so thanks for the fab idea!

Last but by no mean least is this beautiful card from Eileen, Kath's sister so card making runs in their family too! Eileen is another avid stamper and her colouring is beautiful, just like Lynda's. What could be nicer too - a purple card - as Eileen knows its my favourite colour!

Thank you to all the ladies that have sent me cards, I will try and post pictures of all of them over the next few days.

Have a wonderful Christmas everyone!

Picture Frames

These are some of the frames the ladies made last Saturday. Most were made for their craft rooms, a few for presents and some were even going to have photo's added when they got home.

Workshop at Leeds

I had a lovely day last Saturday it was my last workshop at Leeds for the year and it was an all day class where lunch is provided. Sue put on a wonderful spread, with some help from Mary and Kath and it soon vanished so it must have been good!

We all made some cards and then a framed picture using the new Yummy Scrummy papers.

I will post some of the ladies frames soon, when I have sorted the pictures out.
