I'd forgotten my love of colouring!

Edit 2: My computer wizard friend Sam has sorted my blog icons out, you are a total STAR thank you so much. At last I can published images again!! So here are the missing pictures of the cards that I so enjoyed colouring in. Hope you like them!

Id forgotten just how much I love to stamp and colour in!
I have been so busy the last week or so trying to finish all the projects for my next book, Flower Power Papercrafts. I have photography this Monday and the following Monday too and then that will be all the projects done and photographed. I still have to make some of the projects and do lots of variations for cards but Im almost there. Then its just down to all the text for the book!
Anyway I took my Mum, Jean, out for the morning on Friday - she is also into card making infact she is responsible for me getting into it! I needed some bits for some projects and we visited the Craft Barn and The Glitter Pot both local shops for us. I bought bits at both but a stamp at The Glitte Pot and received some handy hints and tips from Carolyn. Thank you so much I really appreciated the time and will keep you to the play session very soon!
I love the way these cards have turned out, simple but I think they look lovely and I so enjoyed colouring them in - its very relaxing. I have left the messages off until I know who the cards are for then I will add some foiled greetings from Craftwork Cards.
Hope you like them too!

Edit: For some reason I have lost all the icons at the top of my post so I cant insert pictures or change the font size etc. I dont know what I have done. If anyone can help me and tell me how to get the little icons back so that I upload the pictures I would really appreciate it. So watch this space for the pictures of the cards, SORRY

Lovely Weekend

It was lovely to see so many familar faces and friends at Ally Pally this weekend and to be able to share and show you the new products and what I had made with them. They are so easy to work with and create lovely cards. Hope you had a great time and got lots of crafting goodies!
The card features a scallop square wrap with the edges inked. Enchanted papers on the card front with the wrap attached to the back. Add the new patterned stems, mini messages for leaves and Bazzill Flowers with an In Circle for the centre. I didnt have the right colour ribbon for the card so I trimmed some of the dotty paper, tied a knot from another piece, flattened it and stuck it to my paper ribbon. Highlight all the card with glitter glues. The three favourites for the Enchanted Teal collection are: Platinum, Aqua and the new Cinnamon they look gorgeous and add real sparkle to the card.
My weekend was complete with Valentino Rossi coming 3rd and getting on the podium in Moto GP and my favourite, James Toseland, coming 7th - brilliant James keep up the good work!
You see my other passion is motorbike racing - Moto GP especially!
And when I got back on Sunday night Merv, my hubby, had made my Moussaka - simply devine! Thanks Merv.

Cards to Share with you

Im not even going to start to make excuses as to why its taken me so long to post again, but the words BUSY come to mind.

Anyway here are a couple of cards that I made with my lovely ladies at Leeds last weekend on my workshop. I have used the new Enchanted Collection in the Designer Paper Packs (6x6). The designs are the same as the 12x12 but shrunk down and perfect for card making. I love the new colour combination of teal, ivory and brown and when you add glitter glue to them they just look amazing. Cinnamon, Aqua and Platinum are brilliant with the teal colours and Pink, Silver, Stardust and Gunmetal work well with the pink combo. The pink, black and white is still one of my favourites and you can now get them in shimmer paper and textured.
The first card features flowers made using the new Perfect Petal Template 2, cut from the Enchanted papers and then edged with glitter glue. The second card is a Z fold card not easy to tell from my picture, it has a ruffle on the front and it tucks behind the flower sentiment to hold the card shut.
All the items used are available from Craftwork Cards.

Craftwork Cards will be at Ally Pally for the Big Stamp and Scrapbooking show this weekend and I will be demonstrating the new goodies. Come and say hi and let me show you what you can make with these wonderful bits!

Hope to see you this weekend.
