Fun Afternoon

I've had a lovely afternoon making cards for birthdays, a thank you card and a thinking of you card. Thought you might like to see them.

Enjoy the sunshine and have a good weekend. I will see anyone going to Stamparama on Sunday.

Such Wonderful Friends

Got back from shopping this morning to find a jiffy bag on the doorstep from my lovely friend Dawn.

She has made this stunning card that came in a beautiful box.

I have tried to call her to find out if she made the dragonfly as well, its held on with a very small magnet. You might know that my favourite colour is purple/lilac so Dawn knew I would love this and sprinkled with daisies too what could be better.

Thank you so much for the amazing card Dawn, alot of work has gone into it and it is really appreciated.

I am very luck I have such wonderful friends.

Happy Birthday Sue!

Its my wonderful friend Sue's birthday tomorrow and I have just been up to see her for a couple of days. I delivered my present to her and made her open it early! I wanted to see her reaction to it - and let me tell you it was worth all the hard work and effort put in to create it for her.

Recently Sue and I spent a fabulous day with Linda Brown at LB Crafts in the lovely town of Olney. Her shop and studio are in a gorgeous little courtyard with a fabulous coffee shop where we all had lunch. We did a workshop with Linda, just Sue and I how spoilt were we! We learnt basic techniques with 10 seconds metal and we made an amazing canvass each. It was such a great day just playing, chatting and learning things about each other - no pressure - not for work just for us.

Well I loved working with the metal and thought I would make something for Sue for her Birthday and this is the result. I nearly went out on Monday to buy Sue a present as I didnt want to part with the chest - but of course I did it was made for her. I will make another for myself with different words on the draw fronts.

Sue, have a fabulous day on Friday 10th August and Linda too as she shares the same Birthday as Sue. See you both on Sunday at Stevenage.

Beautiful Card

I have been away for a few days, so sorry for not posting anything. I received this stunning card made by Sonya who works at the Leeds office of Craftwork Cards. She makes gorgeous cards, they are always so well executed, so clean and crisp - just beautiful. Sonya has used wonderful vellum covering the card and sprinkled crystals over it. She has then joined scallop tags together inside the card. Sonya always prints special poems or messages for her cards.

Thank you for such a beautiful card - it means alot but I think you know that.

I hope to get busy over the next couple of days so I should have some cards to post very soon.

Im also off to Stevenage on Sunday for the Stamparama show,if you have not been before its a lovely show, loads of room to get around, plenty of demo's to see and plenty of room to sit and eat some lunch too. We at Craftwork Cards have some wonderful new bits so if you are going to the show make sure you stop by and see and, of course, say hi. Hope to see you there
